First Geocaching Motel in New Zealand
Are you curious what GEOCACHING is ?
Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. It is a combination of technology with nature, visiting interesting places and being part of the worldwide community. Sometimes you need to solve a quiz or overcome terrain hurdle in order to get to the final location, so it requires some skills, teamwork and determination.
This outdoor activity is suitable for all ages, fitness level, for single or groups, with kids and dogs.
Geocaching is an exciting adventure that will take you to wonderful places in Kaikoura and around.
For your complimentary introduction geocaching tour, contact your hosts Manu & Vladka.
Can you see the geocache? Can you see the tail of the mouse? Find this geocache and its neighbouring cache, a purple shell on the beach, in the natural world of Kaikoura.
Is this a bus stop for dwarves? The geocache is called "Call me". A former phone booth? Maybe you find the answer in the online-description of the cache or ask in the 1st Geo- caching Motel.
This is a special underwater cache you can reach only when you take your own kayak or make a kayak tour from the South Bay. It is not necessary to dive or go in the water. For the T5 hunters.
